Slides can include category titles, nominee photos, company logos, short supporting text, animated backgrounds, countdown-style reveals, and winner celebration screens. The graphics are operated from the media hub in line with the host script, so the right screen appears at the right moment without the presenter needing to manage the slides manually.

Lighting, Music, and Show Atmosphere

Lighting plays a big part in making the awards feel special. During each category, the room can shift from standard conference lighting into a more theatrical awards look, using stage wash colours, moving lights, uplighters, and spotlight effects. When nominees are announced, the lighting can build atmosphere; when the winner is revealed, the room can switch instantly into a brighter celebration scene.

Music can also be used to create excitement and pace. Short stings can introduce each award category, background music can support nominee reveals, and a selected winner walk-up track can play as the winner makes their way to the stage. This turns the moment into a proper celebration and gives the winner time to enjoy the applause while walking up to collect their award.

How the Awards Run On Stage

The host introduces each award category from the stage using a handheld or lapel microphone. The category graphic appears on the main screens, followed by the nominees. Each nominee can be revealed with animated screen graphics, lighting changes, and music cues. Once the nominees have been presented, the host builds the moment, opens the envelope or reads the result, and announces the winner.

As the winner is announced, the winner graphic appears on screen, the lighting changes to a celebration look, and the chosen walk-up music plays through the sound system. The winner is then invited onto the stage to receive their award. This can be presented by the host, a senior leader, sponsor, customer representative, or guest presenter, depending on the format of the event.

If required, winners can give a short acceptance speech using a stage microphone. The AV team manages the microphone levels, keeps the room sound balanced, and supports the flow so the next award can begin smoothly. For larger awards programmes, we can also include comfort monitor information, running order cues, presenter notes, and timing support to help the host stay on track.
